Ukiyo-e prints were more accessible to the people, because they were less expensive, and produced in volumes. Because of this, many of the prints became famous worldwide. Today many of these works are still well known even beyond the art community. Some of them are frequently seen depicted in popular culture.
Fox Girl and Ghost Fire (depicted above) is one the most famous works of the ukiyo-e style.
